 Kenema 2 is the smaller of the two areas and includes both banks of the Moa River it has an area of 18.1 sq Km or 7 sq miles. It has been chosen due to evidence of 3 diamond bearing alluvial areas. Kenema 2 also has 2 possible Kimberlite pipe occurrences (the source rock for diamonds) as shown on the P K Hall report 'The Diamond Fields of Sierra Leone'
